Wouldn’t read my cues. He’d say a joke he thought was hilarious, but I didn’t…. Yet he’d repeat it. It’s like he didn’t even see the expression on my face.

Listen, really listen, to the girl. If she says what you are doing is bothering her, stop doing it! Especially if she's really important to you. Actions really do speak so much louder than words. While telling her you love her might be enough for you, sometimes she needs to actually see it in your actions. Also, treat her the way you would treat your mother. I know it's cliche, but it's true. The greatest guy I've ever been with treats his mother like gold. When I saw how he treated her, I knew he would treat me the same way, and he does!
